Calling all Tweens and the parents of tweens and young teens. Technically a tween is defined as a child between the ages of 10 and 12 but for our purposes I am looking for kids ages 8-15. if you have children between the ages of 8-15 and haven't had their photos taken in several years you are not alone!  We, as parents, document every moment of the first 5 years and then, not much until they get their license or until they are seniors in high school.

 Over the years I have heard from so many parents that they haven't had their kids pictures taken in years. There is a huge gap in most of our photo albums.I get it, life is busy and they are growing and changing. They are all arms and legs and braces. Some days you don't even recognize them and other days you get a glimpse of who they are becoming. So, let's capture this stage too.

We all have a story to tell....A little over a year ago I had total knee replacement. I had a painful and prolonged recovery and am still in the process of adjusting to my new normal. I lost a job because of my delayed recovery and that reignited my passion for photography. I have been capturing moments and memories for almost 20 years. I have seen lots of trends, lots of fads come and go in this industry. One thing that remains the same even with the passage of time is light. It is always there, always present, even in what appears to be total darkness, light finds a way in. I have been seeking light for years, love it! I love the way the right light makes a beautiful child, angelic and the way the light changes the mood or the emotion of a picture. 

I LOVE the art of photographing people. I love capturing the light in each person and helping to tell the story of the soul. It is not just "taking pictures" to me it is much more than that. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
